Pre-Convention Activities for Sunday

Golf at Westchase Golf Club $80/golfer. Club rental $60/set includes 2 sleeves TaylorMade golf balls.

Westchase Golf Club is called one of the most beautiful pubic-access courses in the Tampa area, this is an affordable and highly rated course from Golf Digest. Mini shotgun begins at 10 am – 4:15-4:30 pace of play.


City Showcase Bike Tour $69 includes 7-speed bike rental, helmet, bottled water, and an informative tour guide.

Enjoy a private bike tour that will give you more than a glimpse of Tampa. You will see and learn about historical and notable locations throughout the city. Along the way, you’ll explore Tampa’s Riverwalk, Downtown, Old Hyde Park, the beautiful Bayshore Blvd, Harbour Island, and more! This is an easy ride and a leisurely pace. Depart Hotel @ 8:30 am - Return to Hotel approximately 1:15 pm


Florida Aquarium $37 (this price will be confirmed 90 days out and could fluctuate a few dollars)

Rated among the best aquariums in the US, visit The Florida Aquarium with exciting exhibits including simulated wetlands, a simulated beach, and a coral reef community. This will be a self-guided tour that can be done independently or as a whole NIFDA group. The average visit time is approximately 2 hours.

Depart Hotel @ 8:45 am - Return to Hotel approximately 1 pm


Tiki Boat Cruise with Sand Bar $52 (will depend on the final count).

The Tiki adventure perfectly combines a beach day and a boat activity. The private 6-person tiki boats include USCG-certified captains, coolers with ice, and Bluetooth speakers. Bring your favorite beverages and snacks, and enjoy the views of Clearwater Beach as we make our way to a local sandbar. The tiki bar will anchor to allow us to swim and explore the sandbar. 6 guests per boat (Tikibar), with a maximum of 24 guests. Depart Hotel @ 9:30 am - Return to Hotel approximately 1:15 pm

Evangelo "Vann" Morris Motivational Speaker, U.S. Navy retired Surface Warfare Officer and Combat Veteran

Evangelo "Vann" Morris is a U.S. Navy retired Surface Warfare Officer and Afghanistan deployed Combat Veteran who has traveled to 45 countries and is on a mission to Heal America. His wife (Rita) and three sons are all proud U.S. Veterans. In 2001, Vann and his team seized 14 tons of pure cocaine during a Colombian drug raid - the largest drug bust in U.S. maritime history.

Vann is a former nuclear powered ballistic missile Submariner, with an MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School, in Monterey, CA. and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from the University of Memphis. His last two tours of duty are the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and the United States Special Operations Command in Tampa, FL. Parallel with his military career, Vann has been public speaking for 20 years to honor all those who serve our great nation and to teach our children the value of Freedom.

Parking & Group Transportation

Complimentary on-site self-parking at The Safety Harbor Resort & Spa. Valet parking is available at a rate of $20 per day/night.

Buses will be provided for all guests attending the Awards Banquet at Zoo Tampa. Additionally, one bus will depart earlier in the afternoon for those who wish to visit the Zoo prior to the banquet.

The hotel is walking distance to the town of Safety Harbor, near golf, shopping, restaurants.

Transportation Options from the Airports:

Taxi Services: Available curbside at both airports. From TPA, fares start at $3.50 for the first 1/5 mile, plus $2.50 per additional mile, with a minimum fee of $20.

Rideshare Apps: Services like Uber and Lyft operate at both airports. An UberX from TPA to the resort averages $38 and takes about 22 minutes. 

Car Rentals: Both airports offer multiple car rental agencies for those preferring to drive themselves.
